Late to the party, I know, but why does everybody expect singers’ voices not to change over the course of his life? His voice got grittier. It doesn’t have the same “sweetness” to it that it once had, but the screaming and growling is better, if anything. Everyone’s voice changes over time.

He should be seen as an inspiration still giving it his best and making the most of his life despite his health.
